IRS

I met your Mother in 1991. She and I were both International Examiners for the IRS. We met in a training class in Los Angeles. We went to lunch almost every day of the training. That was how I got to know her. Whenever your Mother was in Los Angeles, I always tried to go to dinner or lunch with her. She was a very nice and generous person. Sometimes she would let me stay with her in her hotel room if the training was a long way from my home. One such occasion was a training class in Long Beach. The commute was almost an hour for me. She was very generous and allowed me to stay with her so that I would not have such a long drive.

One year, I met her and some of her family at Las Vegas. I was with another friend. Your Mother took us gambling. I was not much of a gambler but I had more fun that night than I had ever had in Vegas before. She took the time to teach us how to play craps and blackjack. We stayed up all night. We finished the evening in a hotel restaurant having Hawaiian food. (I cannot remember the year but it was the month that many of your family members have birthdays. March?)

Your Mother had such a wonderful laugh. She was fun to be around. She and I would laugh about certain male co-workers playing so much golf. . . until she took up the game. Even when I would joke with her about selling out, she would laugh and encourage me to learn the game. She even took me along on a golf game so I could watch. She is very missed. No one ever had a negative thing to say about her. When her name comes up' it is accompanied by praise.

Good luck with this project. I wish you and your family all the best.
