St. Theresa’s
8/19/99

I attended St. Theresa's with your mom only during 8th grade with Sister Bernard Claire as our homeroom teacher. I was striving to learn English after my arrival from China, so I was pretty much behind the scene and was very shy. Your mother stands out among our classmates as one of the high achievers. Victoria Love, Peter Moi, and Norbert Wong were her classmates for longer period of time. They were in the same high academic standing group.

My fond memory of your mom as being a very caring, supportive, loving, and very well organized person. I attended her birthday party at her beautiful home that year. I enjoyed her butter cookies, which by the way was my first collection of my recipes. Unfortunately that recipes had disappeared through these past 36 years as I moved away from Hawaii.

Your mother had attempted to track me down for our 30 years reunion at St Theresa. She finally tracked me down thru my sister Maureen Chang whose son Brandon Chang was in the Scouts together. She knew my sister for several years and did not realized my sister Maureen and I are related. I finally met up with your mom during my visit home in 1994. She invited me and my sister out for a wonderful and delicious Chinese seafood. We dined all night and chat all night about old times and family. Your mother was the only person in my graduating class that I ever got connected after 36 years!

Then in April 1995 I went back to Hawaii to be with my family. I did call your mother and we talked briefly. Your mother sent me her photo Christmas cards for several years. She has such a loving family. It must have been difficult for you to accept this is happened. She was so young -always full of life and energy. I light a candle after every Sunday Mass at St. Mary's Church in her memory as I wish I have known her more after we graduated.
